The application of wavelet expansions for solving the problems of computer tomography with a fan beam scanning schemes

Abstract:
The method of direct evaluation of wavelet coefficients from projection data of the fan beam scanning scheme is proposed. The two-dimensional case is considered. The method does not require special kinds of wavelet, thus allowing localizing restoration of separate image fragments and therefore decreasing the radiation dose needed for getting projected data.
