Abstract:
The paper deals with the information technology created for investigation of specific structures, forming turbulence in plasma, with the help of spectral analysis. The mathematical basis is the probabilistic approach using a novel bootstrap algorithm. The finite mixtures of various probability distributions are used as a basic model to describe the fine structure of chaotic processes. To find the statistical estimates of the unknown parameters of the model, specially created statistical procedures, improving the properties of the classical EM (expectation-maximization) algorithm, are included in the software. Considerable attention is devoted to the structure and general principles of software functioning. Practical results obtained in an important area of modern physics are discussed as well (e. g., identification of the number of forming processes, evaluation of several physical parameters, etc.). The vivid examples of performance of the created software are given.
