Preface

The present collection of articles supplements the 19th volume of the Annual Proceedings The Systems and Means of Informatics of the Institute of Informatics Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPI RAN). It contains articles on R-D results of some of IPI RAN's scientists and other collaborating organizations in the year 2009. Scientific papers presented in the book describe some of the Institute's achievements in the main research areas such as integrated informationtelecommunication systems and networks, IT penetration in the society, theoretical foundations of computer science and information technologies, IT systems and their architecture, system solutions and software for developing new generation computation complexes and networks. The edition is designed for R-D workers, engineers, university postgraduates who take interest in the current state of research activities in informatics and computer science.
