On information characteristics of unitary transformations
I. M. Gurevich
Abstract:
The present work demonstrates that unitary operators, transformations, conformable matrices determine one-to-one the probabilities and mergeable probabilities of physical systems states and thereby the unitary operators can be defined with the help of information characteristics such as uncertainty and joint entropy. By using the unitary matrix the relation has been defined between the uncertainty (information) and joint entropy. Uncertainty (information) is defined on the lines/columns of the unitary matrix of dimension $n$. Joint entropy is defined on the Shannon matrix whose elements are the unitary matrix elements divided by $\sqrt n$. Information characteristics of unitary transformations provide an opportunity to identify interrelations having a common information and physical nature. The presented estimates of joint entropy characterizing the obtained by different authors matrices of electroweak interaction (1,7849; 1,7787; 1,7645; 1,7945) and the matrices of quarks confounding (1,7842, 1,7849) demonstrate good matching. Obviously, this is an informational evidence of physical unity of strong and electroweak interaction. Joint entropy characterizing the neutrino-mixing matrix is equal to 2,8469. It shows that neutrino mixing is probably of physical nature, which is different from quarks mixing and electroweak interaction.
