A variant of a theorem of Ahlfors on mappings of strips

Abstract: The basic result of this paper is a proof of a result analogous to the well-known theorem of L. Ahlfors on the distortion of a strip mapping (in the course of the proof we shall reprove Ahlfors' theorem).
