Finite dimensionality of an attractor in some problems of nonlinear shell theory

Abstract:
It is proved that there exists a compact maximal attractor of finite Hausdorff dimension in the problem of nonlinear oscillations of an elastic sloping shell in a supersonic gas flow. The arguments are of a general nature, and are applicable to a large class of quasilinear partial differential equations.
