Abstract: Using a two-moment boundary condition in an approximation that is linear with respect to the Knudsen number, we compute the rates of isothermal and thermal heat slip of a rarefied gas along the surface of a spherical aerosol particle suspended in a flow of a rarefied gas with inhomogeneous temperature and mass velocity. We study the dependence of the slip rate on the accommodation coefficient of the first two moments of the distribution function. We compare our results with published results.
