Polymer monolayers and Langmuir–Blodgett films. Polymerisation reactions in organised molecular ensembles; structural transformations and properties

V. V. Arslanov

Institute of Physical Chemistry, the USSR Academy of Sciences
Abstract: The method of preparation, structure, and properties of monolayers on the surface of a liquid and of Langmuir–Blodgett films on surface-active monomers are discussed. The influence of the chemical composition and structure of monomer molecules, the conditions for the preparation of organised ensembles, and the conditions in polymerisation reactions on the structural-morphological transformations in monolayers and Langmuir–Blodgett films are considered. The bibliography includes 128 references.
