Abstract: Experimental data on the application of pentasil group zeolites in the aromatisation of low-molecular-weight paraffins are surveyed. Modern ideas concerning the mechanism of the aromatisation and the nature of the active centres in pentasil are examined. Examples of the application of pentasil-containing catalysts in technological processing of gaseous hydrocarbons are presented.
