Abstract: The current state of research into graft polymerisation processes that are initiated by ionising radiation is examined. Particular attention is given to new radiation grafting methods, such as low-temperature graft post-polymerisation, grafting with plasma chemical initiation, grafting in the presence of complexing agents, and grafting of metal-containing monomers. The mechanism of the radiation graft polymerisation process is also discussed.
