Paramagnetic resonance and detection of a single electron spin

Abstract: Two methods of detection of a single electron spin, namely, optical detection (1993) and tunnelling spectroscopy (1998) are described. Both methods are based on the spin chemistry laws. Physical principles and prospects of application of these methods are considered. The bibliography includes 34 references.
