Abstract: Methods for the synthesis and the electronic and crystal structures of neutral and anionic isotrithionedithiolate transition metal complexes are considered. The unusual electrophysical, magnetic and optical properties of these complexes, including superconducting structures, spin-ladder structures and nonlinear optical materials, are analyzed. The bibliography includes 129 references.
