Abstract:
Main approaches to the design of organic photovoltaic structures with bulky heterojunctions are generalized and systematized. Novel photovoltaic materials based on fullerenes, organic dyes and related compounds, graphene, conjugated polymers and dendrimers are considered. The emphasis is placed on correlations between the chemical structure and properties of materials. The influence of the photoactive layer morphology on the photovoltaic properties of devices is analyzed. Key optimization methods of the photovoltaic properties are outlined.
