Abstract: Published data dealing with the unique material composed of carbon nanotubes aligned at right angle to the surface — the forest — are analyzed and generalized. The morphology, the volumetric and surface density of the forest, methods for forest preparation and modification, the properties and potential applications of the forest are considered. Bibliography — 679 references.
