Abstract:
The review concerns various aspects of application of the classical nonequilibrium thermodynamics to the description of transfer processes in colloidal systems. Specific features of the use of nonequilibrium thermodynamics in setting the boundary conditions, deriving the equations of motion of colloidal particles, and analyzing phase transformations and membrane processes are demonstrated. Considerable attention is paid to well-known phenomena in physical chemistry of colloidal systems that have been the subject of recent interest and study. The bibliography includes 367 references.
