Abstract: The key approaches to the preparation of catalysts based on porphyrins and porphyrin metal complex immobilised on polymeric supports are analysed. The factors determining the catalytic activity of porphyrin-containing polymer systems are outlined. Processes catalysed by such systems are considered.
