Abstract: Methods for preparation of high-melting carbides, nitrides and borides in the form of ultradisperse powders, nanotubes, nanowires, and nanoporous and compact nanostructured materials are considered. Information concerning the structure, physicochemical and physicomechanical properties and application fields of these objects are presented. Prospects for the use of nanomaterials based on high-melting compounds are discussed.
