Abstract: The published data on heterogeneous catalytic redox reactions involving uranium, neptunium, plutonium and americium ions in acidic and alkaline media as well as on catalytic decomposition of some organic and nitrogen-containing inorganic components of liquid inorganic wastes are generalised. The results of kinetic studies of these reactions are analysed and possible mechanisms are considered.
