Abstract: Published data on nanostructured materials prepared by electrospinning are analyzed and generalized. Particular attention is devoted to the design and properties of nanocomposite fibrous materials and methods for modification and functionalization of fibre surface. The prospects for the application of non-woven materials for biotissue engineering and for the development of smart materials are considered.
