Carbene methods for the introduction of acyl and acylmethyl groups into organic molecules
O. G. Kulinkovich Belarusian State University, Minsk
Abstract:
A systematic account is given of data on the reactions involving the insertion of dihalogeno-, keto-, and alkoxycarbonyl-carbenes in carbon–hydrogen and carbon–heteroatom bonds as well as reactions involving the conversion of alkenes into cyclopropane derivatives followed by ring opening, leading to the introduction of acyl, acylmethyl, and alkoxycarbonylmethyl groups into organic substrates. The bibliography includes 121 references.
