Abstract:
The review deals with the application of gas detectors in combination with the thermoscanning of adsorption layers in thin layer chromatography for the recording of the results of the separation. Attention is concentrated on a combined method, based on the use of cylindrical thin layer chromatography and a fiame-ionisation detector; which fulfills two functions simultaneously: thermoscanning of the adsorption layer with separated organic compounds and detection of the thermoscanning products. The prospects for the development of the method are discussed. The bibliography includes 179 references.
