Abstract:
Molecular-kinetic models of the transfer of susbstances through crystalline inorganic membranes have been examined, taking account of the influence of the principal real properties of the system: the interaction between the particles adsorbed on the surface and between the particles dissolved in the volume of the membrane; the non-uniformity of the region of the solid next to the surface; the restricted mobility of the particles; and the change in the state of the volume phase during the transfer of the diffusing substance. The possibility of applying these models to the problems of transfer through vitreous inorganic and polymeric membranes has been discussed. The bibliography contains 110 references.
