The Structure and Electron-donor Properties of Organic Compounds of Selenium(II)
E. N. Gur'yanova Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry, Moscow
Abstract:
The results of studies of the structure and complex-forming power of organic compounds of selenium have been summarised. The principal characteristics of the geometry of the molecules and their orbital state and electron-donor properties have been discussed. Quantitative estimates of the complex-forming power of selenium compounds have been given. The questions of the generation of selenium-centred free radicals and their stabilisation by complex formation have been examined. The bibliography contains 225 references.
