Abstract: Studies on the synthesis of organic compounds from carbon monoxide and hydrogen in the presence of catalysts obtained by the thermal decomposition of metal carbonyls on inorganic carriers are examined. The characteristic features of the interaction of various metal carbonyls with the carriers and the mechanisms of the formation of the metal carbonyl catalysts are discussed.
