Abstract: The literature data on the principal methods for the synthesis of polyorgano-polysiloxane block copolymers incorporating carbochain and heterochain organic fragments are examined and surveyed. It is shown that the microphase separation, associated with the differences between the chemical natures of the blocks, exerts a decisive influence on the morphological, physicochemical, and mechanical properties of such block copolymers. The wide scope of the applications of polyorgano-polysiloxane copolymers is demonstrated.
