Abstract: The literature data on the thermal decomposition and photodecomposition of organozinc and organocadmium compounds, on the dependence of the thermal decomposition mechanism and the kinetic stability of metal alkyls in this reaction on the decomposition conditions, and also on the relation between the reactivity of the organometallic compounds and their structure are treated systematically and discussed.
The bibliography includes 63 references.
