Thermochemistry of Organic and Organohalogen Compounds

The advances in the thermochemistry of organic compounds, mainly cyclic and organohalogen derivatives, are examined. Studies on the thermodynamics of the polymerisation reactions of cyclic compounds, the determination of the standard enthalpies of formation of cyclic and organohalogen compounds, and the determination of relations between the standard enthalpies of formation and the strain energies of molecules, on the one hand, and their structure, on the other are analysed in detail.
