Abstract: The general aspects of halogenophilic reactions of phosphorus compounds have been examined. Examples of the reactions of the halides of four- and five-coordinate phosphorus with readily polarisable nucleophiles, taking place with the transfer of formally positive halogen, have been reviewed.
The bibliography contains 140 references.
