Abstract: A historical survey of studies on the modelling of biological catalysts is presented. Pioneering investigations, which have led to new concepts, hypotheses, or principles, or those which have led to results of practical importance are examined. Attention has been concentrated on the modelling of oxidoreductases.
The bibliography includes 124 references.
