Abstract: The literature data on cluster transition metal chalcogenide halides are described systematically and discussed. The structures of these compounds are examined and compared with those of the analogous cluster metal halides and chalcogenides. The principal preparative methods of synthesis of the cluster chalcogenide halides are discussed and a systematic account is given of the first results obtained in the study of the chemical properties of this class of inorganic compounds.
The bibliography includes 102 references.
