Abstract: Data on the nucleophilic addition of CH acids of the type XCH2Y and XYCHZ to αβ-unsaturated aldehydes and ketones are surveyed primarily from the standpoint of the influence of various factors on the mode of reaction (addition to the C=O or C=C bond).
