Abstract: The theory and practice of a new method of studying the translational and rotational mobility of macromolecules in solution by dynamic light scattering are briefly outlined. Experimental assemblies are described, and results obtained by this method for macromolecules of different chemical structure are reported. The possible applications of the method and its likely future developments are discussed.
