Abstract: Data on the methods of synthesis, certain physicochemical properties, and reactivities of fluorine-containing imines of known types are surveyed and the characteristic features of the variation of their properties due to the effects of the fluorine atoms and polyfluoro-substituents at the C=N bond are examined. The theoretical and applied aspects of the development of the chemistry of fluorine-containing compounds with a nitrogen–carbon double bond are discussed.
