Abstract:
New principles and processes for the treatment of polymers and polymer-based composites are discussed. The controlled effects of physical and mechanical fields on the rheological properties of polymers are analysed as a promising method of developing new component forming techniques. The following topics are discussed: solid-phase extrusion and hydro-extrusion, the cyclic deformation of melts in shear, the interaction of transverse and longitudinal ultrasonic vibrations, and the preparation of ultra-strong films and fibres. The bibliography contains 64 references.
