The Structure and Reactivity of Octadehydrocorrins and Corroles

Abstract:
The review surveys the chemical properties of corroles, their metal complexes, and the metal complexes of octadehydrocorrins. The reactions of the metal complexes of octadehydrocorrins with electrophiles and nucleophiles, the interconversions of corrinoid compounds, the reactions involving the β,β-double bonds, and the acid–base properties and redox reactions of corrinoid compounds are considered. Problems of the structure of corroles, their metal complexes, and the metal complexes of octadehydrocorrins are discussed. The bibliography includes 87 references.
