Abstract: The results of the study of colloidal systems based on highly dispersed adsorbents and colloidal solutions of polymers as universal stationary phases for gas chromatography have been analysed. Particular attention has been paid to the regular features of retention on colloidal sorbents and the estimation of their selectivity and thermal stability. Possible fields of analytical application (the separation of mixtures of organic and organometallic compounds, trace analysis, and capillary chromatography) have been examined.
