Abstract: The results of recently published work on the determination of traces of elements by X-ray fluorescence (XRF), combined with chemical methods of separation and concentration, have been reviewed. The application of various combinations of XRF with precipitation, sorption, and extraction has been described. The combined XRF method can be used to determine traces of elements in natural and industrial materials.
