Abstract: Studies of the effect of the adsorption of non-ionogenic polymers from aqueous solution on the surface charge density, electrokinetic potential, and surface conductance of dispersed particles are summarised, and theoretical ideas on the mechanism of the effect are examined. Methods for calculating the parameters of adsorbed layers of polymers from surface electrical measurements are described and analysed. A list of 84 references is included.
