Abstract: The chemical properties and thermodynamic characteristics of hydroxamic acids and their metal complexes are examined and Tables of proton–ligand and metal–ligand stability constants are presented. The influence of various factors on the dissociation of hydroxamic acids and their complexes is discussed.
