Abstract:
The principles of the pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance method are briefly examined. A relation is demonstrated between the measured characteristics and the parameters describing molecular motion. The characteristic features of the derivation of information about molecules in the study of complex polymers–low-molecular-weight substance systems are considered. The principal results of investigations by the NMR method of solutions of polymers, plasticised polymers, polymer gels, and compositions consisting of low-molecular-weight substances adsorbed on polymers are presented. New possibilities in the application of the NMR method are indicated. The bibliography includes 122 references.
