Abstract: The mechanisms and consequences of complex formation in systems incorporating organometallic compounds are discussed on the basis of spectroscopic and quantum-chemical characteristics of alkyl, alkenyl, and aryl derivatives of lithium and certain other metals in the absence and presence of electron donors. Particular attention is devoted to "living" anionic chains.
The bibliography includes 129 references.
