Abstract: Results are given for the use of cyclic imides of carboxylic acids and monomers for new thermostable polyimides and polyamides. Migration copolymerisation, polycondensation, and cycloaddition of imides of aliphatic, aromatic, and unsaturated structure are discussed. A list of 159 references is included.
