A. N. Nesmeyanov Institute of Organoelement Compounds, USSR Academy of Sciences, Moscow
Abstract: The general aspects of the method for the identification and study of short-lived radicals in the liquid phase by EPR using spin-trapping agents are discussed and the available literature data for the application of the spin-trapping method to the study of short-lived chlorine- and sulphur-containing radicals and reactions involving them are surveyed. Certain methodological solutions, which make it possible to use the method in the study of complex radical reactions, are examined.
