Abstract: A systematic account is given for the first time of the methods of synthesis, properties, and practical applications of silicon-containing derivatives of carbonic acid – carbonates and chlorocarbonates (chloroformates). Together with monomeric compounds, oligomeric and polymeric products are discussed as well as other compositions from which new organosilicon articles with valuable practical properties, for example with a highly effective gas-separating capacity, have been made.
The bibliography includes 426 references.
