Abstract:
Reactions involving the oxidation of unsaturated bicyclic hydrocarbons with a bridge bond by oxygen, hydroperoxides, peracids, and hydrogen peroxide are examined, particular attention being devoted to the mechanism and the stereochemistry of the oxidation of norbornene hydrocarbons and their derivatives. The bibliography includes 98 references.
