Abstract: The literature data on the properties of hydrogen bonds involving the elements in the Third, Fourth, and Fifth Periods are surveyed and an attempt is made to determine the factors which have a decisive effect on the proton- and electron-donating capacities in series of compounds of the same type formed by elements in different Periods and Groups.
The bibliography includes 222 references.
