Abstract: A systematic account is given of experimental results. Kinetic data are considered from general principles based on the model of Mars and Van Krevelen supplemented by the concept of successive surface oxidation of the initial organic molecule. Certain general laws of the occurrence of reactions of this class are formulated.
A list of 137 references is included.
