Abstract: Consideration is given to the effect of hydro-dehydropolymerisation, discovered by S. S. Nametkin and his coworkers in a study of the polymerisation of unsaturated hydrocarbons under the influence of sulphuric acid and aluminium chloride. This phenomenon is significant in the investigation of the oligomerisation and polymerisation of alkenes in the presence of various catalysts. Research on the monomer-isomerisation polymerisation of alkenes is analysed.
