Abstract: The possible mechanisms of the reactions of organometallic derivatives with organic halides, including the metal–halogen and recombination (Wurtz) reactions, are examined. Particular attention is devoted to the analysis of the composition of the products and the stereochemistry of the reactions and to the results obtained using physicochemical methods.
The bibliography includes 156 references.
