Abstract: The results of the principal studies of the absorption spectra and the kinetics of the destruction of short-lived phenoxy- and semiquinone radicals in the liquid phase are examined. A systematic account is given of the results of investigations of their interaction with metal compounds. Much attention is devoted to the photochemical method of generating phenoxy- and semiquinone radicals from phenolic and quinonoid compounds.
The bibliography includes 205 references.
